Holidays are coming~

The holidays are coming fast...soon we will be gathering with our friends and family to celebrate the holidays...and if you don't celebrate our upcoming holidays this blog is still for you~

The hustle and bustle of life can easily get us down...so remember to take just a few minutes each day to center and balance yourself before you walk out the door to face life! With so much technology and the media filling our heads with so many useless worries it is no wonder we walk around in a fog most of the time. We get up...go to work...go home...eat dinner...watch tv....and then off to bed for a restless nights sleep then do it all over again...we walk around with our cell phones in our hands or pockets almost all of the time heck now that I have a Kindle I walk around with both my phone and my Kindle almost all of the time and I am sure I am not alone in that.

Can we change this? Probably not it has become a part of our lives....but let this be a reminder to stop...lay down your phone and enjoy whatever you are doing right now....I have been working on this for a while now but with the holidays I think it is time to work a little harder on it.

Ever day start your day out with a few minutes of silence...a couple of deep breathes and set a positive intention for your day.....lets make the holidays and every day full of love and kindness for each other....lets work on enjoying our lives just as they are right now and know that they are always changing...sometimes for the good and sometimes not so much but it is up to us if we want to be happy or not in this moment....I know this isn't for everyone...sometimes medical issues just don't let you choose to be happy so extra love and hugs to you...

So let the "holiday love" start now and carry it all thru next year....send love and peace to everyone you meet everyday and maybe the crazy world we live in will be a little brighter all year long~

Be well...be happy...be blessed~

As I sit and look at my FB page this is my cover picture....it is nice to have a reminder of how I want to feel....but the facts are life does not always let me feel any of these things...and that is a fact!

Sometimes at first glance you think that others have it so much more "together" than you do...well I know that is true for me. I look at pictures on FB and think to myself "wow their life looks so much more...peaceful...fun or exciting than mine" you get the idea...I think it is hard not to compare ourselves to others either on FB or in real life.

We all live our lives every day and that life should suit who you are and what you want to be doing at this moment. And remember that life is ever changing.... If your a stay at home mom or a busy executive or somewhere in the middle remind yourself to really enjoy each day and every minute of that day! Find time no matter where you are in your life to look for and find peace and a moment to center yourself...and no I am not always peaceful...calm or centered but I work hard at finding these feelings as often as I can!

Love who you are on the inside and it will always reflect on the outside~

Be well..be happy..be blessed~

I am 50 years old...my body has been thru so many changes...my weight isn't what I want it to be but you know what.....I love my body....just like it is!

Learning to love the body you have at this moment is the best gift you can give to yourself. Media in all forms send images to our brains that if we aren't a certain weight with certain hair or skin or eyes or shape that there is something that we need to do to fix ourselves. They have a million different ways to fix us from make-up to surgery to pills or to a new exercise program or diet.

Well I am here to tell you that you are perfect just the way you are...you should look in the mirror every morning or every time you pass a mirror and say to yourself...."I love you" "I love my body just the way it is". This body is a gift to us...it gets us thru everyday!

I have been trying for several years to lose the extra weight my body carries around every day....not because I want to look better but because I want to be healthier and feel better. Now almost 2 years later I am not the weight I want to be but my body is healthier than I probably have ever been. Feeling better is the best reward for living a healthy life style! No I haven't perfected this new healthy life style but I work at it every day. Old habits are hard to break but never giving up is the solution.

Loving my body has always been easy for me for some reason...even at my heaviest I still didn't mind all of my extra curves....but because of my health issues I need to be smaller. So I will continue to do as much as I can to take care of my body but all the while I will continue to love myself just like I am! Work on this for you...that is the best gift you can give yourself!

Be well..be happy..be blessed~

From time to time I am reminded by the simplest of things in life that I need to work on having inner peace in my heart and mind~

Having inner peace does not mean that life is perfect, we all know that life is never perfect, but having inner peace makes life's crazy moments seem bearable. I have been working on being my authentic happy self for several years now and to me one of the most important parts on this journey is having inner peace when the world seems to have gone mad or just on an average day.

This is the definition of inner peace... inner peace refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. ...

So when you have inner peace...life will all of a sudden seem less stressful...how wonderful does that sound. So here are some things you can do...that work for me to find inner peace in every situation. These are what work for me but we are all different but worth giving them a try.

1. Take in a few deep breathes....breathe in peace and breathe out love. This is for me the easiest way to calm myself and remind me to find peace in any instance. Sometimes it is a little harder than others but it always works.
2.  Try to meditate for even a few minutes every day.
3.  When I am driving in my car my favorite thing to do is turn off the music and focus on my positive self talk. I have a list that I go over and over...I am strong...I am happy...I am healthy...My life is perfect just the way it is....Money comes to me easily and frequently..I feel awesome...My body is strong....ok you get the idea these are just a few of mine.  You can make your own list or use some of mine. Plus I have a long list if you need any ideas find me on Facebook and message me I will be glad to share more or help you make your own list.

This is a good start...if you start to add even one of these to your life it will be a good start on your journey to "inner peace" and I don't think it is something that is ever always there...I think it is something that we will always need to work on but will make life so much easier~

Be well..be happy..be blessed~

Finding Balance

Some days just seem so overwhelming...we go about our daily lives trying to fit everything in....we don't always realize that we have to much on our plates until something gives...we either get sick or something bigger than that with our health. It may be kind of silly but for me I trip....sometimes I fall sometimes just trip but it is a reminder for me to slow down!

How do you find balance in your life? Do you have a special way you cope with life? I would like to say I have a great idea to share with you but really I don't! Usually for me I know when I just need to take a break and take time for myself...this week I was reminded by a cold sore...yes something that small can be your reminder...I let a situation with Walmart get me so upset and within 1 hour I started getting a cold sore...stress that's what it was for me....and you know nothing at Walmart is worth getting that upset about...of course at the moment it seemed like it was!

So I decided to take a step back from FB and my computer in general...it may not last for long but even one day has gave me more time to sit in silence and relax....with the holidays coming start now and find something that brings you peace and calm....yoga..meditate...exercise or just sit in silence for a few minutes every day!
While your sitting go over in your head or write them down....but make a list of all the wonderful things in your life and of all the things you have to be grateful for.

Maybe there really is no way to find balance in your life....but just be aware....take a break from life when you need it...and take care of you!

Be well..be happy..be blessed~
